OK, we’re back home again. Our beach trip, not counting driving, lasted a mighty 36 hours. Add that to the 16 hours of driving, and it equals the vacational equivalent of going to visit your brother in the Florida state pen.
Not that my brothers there, yet.
This is a pictorial account of my vacation, by me.
As you can see, the youngest really didn’t suffer much of a sunburn. I chalk that up to a lifetime of drinking Oak Ridge water. Its those early years that really add to the mutation.
Here are some real pictures, for those who are into those things and stuff:

It was hard to leave yesterday. I managed to burn my back pretty well, and the kids got a tad bit burnt on their shoulders and thighs, but aside from that we came out pretty well.
Yay for the beach!!! And hanging out with family!!!
Any ideas for my new name?

Hey! I’m here! (but you can call me Kelliqua so as not to confuse me w/ Lady Bell)
How funny that just yesterday I had two thoughts, wondering how y’all were dong and then, it being sunny and 86 and all, my next thought was the “the beach”. That thought led me back to you guys and knowing how fabulously Bell did with that dog thing, I was thinking “Maybe she’ll be a beach lover, too. Because WHO hates the beach?”
I see that she still has some work to do.

See, here I always thought that Kelliqua was somebody else… I must have missed that memo.
Dude, we love on the beach, but the beach, it don’t love us back.

I DO love the beach. It’s awesome. Unfortunately, it doesn’t pair very well with my fair, freckled skin. Even when I lather the sunscreen on. I still burn. Especially it being the first time in the sun this year. The lakes of TN is where I spend my time in the summer. And I’m all ready now… got the first burn out of the way.
I can get tan. But I truly think it’s more of a “freckles-running-together” situation….and it takes all summer to get to that point.

@Bell Oh, me too. Exactly.
@NotAT Really? All this time you didn’t know that I was me? Hmphhh.
I’ll be expecting a nice fruit basket apology in the mail.
